For the first time in NFL history, all four wild card teams went on the road during the first weekend of the playoffs and took home wins.
All four now move on to face division champions on January 16th and 17th.
Despite showing the ability to go on the road and get a playoff victory, never an easy task, the probability of them hoisting the Lombardi Trophy still remain slim for these teams.
Since the Wild Card System began in 1970, only 13% of Super Bowl champions emerged from the Wild Card position.
According to analytics blog FiveThirtyEight, the Carolina Panthers (18%) and Arizona Cardinals (16%) remain the favorites to bring home football’s most prized trophy.
