Multiple teams are heading into the 2016 NFL Draft seeking to pick up a quarterback to lead the franchise over the next 10 years. Despite later round steals such as Tom Brady (6th Round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft) or Drew Brees (2nd Round pick in the 2001 NFL Draft), the overwhelming majority of starting quarterbacks were picked in the first round.
Out of 32 NFL teams, 62.5% of them in 2015 had a starting QB that was picked in the opening round of the draft.
